Pre-spring cleaning (or continued procrastination) has continued at the O’Brien house. This afternoon, the basement. I’ve ignored it for two years; too painful after countless Martha Stewart-esque beautification and organization efforts were trashed within 24 hours.

Sharing some of the treasures that I set aside for framing:

Brooke, kindergarten, Albany Academy for Girls

William, first grade, Albany Academy

This one was an immediate favorite. Brooke made it at the Albany Art Room, a really cool spot for artists and would-be artists of all ages. I hung it above the sink in our mini basement kitchen; my own vision of the world, Brookie-style. It was inspired by the flora of Washington Park in Albany, New York.
