Our sixth grader, who is in our good graces particularly this week after a glowing report card with high honors, appeared before me at 8 pm asking when we’d start his Spanish project. Due tomorrow. Flan.

So I did the awful parent thing and sent said last-minute sixth grader to bed. Headed to the trusty Internet and found this relatively easy recipe for Baked Flan. Lots of sugar and dairy (heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and milk) and about an hour and a half later, it was time for a taste test.
