It’s a snow day in upstate New York. My awesome husband Daniel has all six kiddos out on a snowplowing adventure, and you know what that means—at warp speed, the following scenario:
- Kris Carr’s green juice, lifeyum-style (celery, cucumber, kale, spinach, green apples and three key limes) in a big wine glass.
- Comfy chair with pillow by window (building a fire next).
- Great book.
The house is silent, except for the hum of the forced hot air and the little house sounds always present. No whining, no worries. I’m not touching the dirty dishes or sweeping the cheerios and who knows what else off the floor. Just taking these glorious moments to sit, sip, read, breathe, and love this wonderful life.
Okay – so are you a trained photographer??? My pictures would be something like a tree branch – and that’s it… just a tree branch without any extra “something”…but you capture warmth, love, and pure emotion in your pictures. Shoot girl – you are gooood! I enjoyed the peacefulness of this post. Have fun teaching tonight – wish I could be there – you bring such peace to others as well as helping them appreciate themselves. Keep up the awesome work in yoga!
Oh, I adore you Gail. It has been such a synchronicity of awakenings to just do the things I love. Yoga woke me up, gradually lessening the fear of failing (it’s getting easier to fall and get back up!), and old passions like photography, music, art, writing, sharing…well, it’s just flowing naturally now.
Thank you for your beautiful compliments. Most of my blog pictures are just shot with my iPhone, which is so handy. Then all the photography apps are incredible, Camera+ and Camerabag my favorites. Cropping, lighting, and frames help set the mood.
