Way to go Lisa! You Rock!! Have a great evening. 🙂 Renee
YOU are one of the special ones, Renee. Love your positive messages and outlook on life.
Have a great night — and a good time exercising early in the morning! Next goal: adopting an earlier to bed, earlier to rise mentality. 🙂
Thank you Lisa. Yes I wouldn’t be up so early if I was a night owl that’s for sure. 🙂
Whoo hoo!!It is official I need to get a blender. I keep seeing smoothies everywhere and I really need to get into the habit of drinking them. It is nice to go off track, but I think it feels awesome when you finally get back into your groove again!
Yesaroo, Cassy! I feel like I’ve been off the wagon since my sister’s wedding in April…it all started with my mother’s fabulous cooking. Then I didn’t stop. Then the trip to Vegas and California. But a week of teaching yoga (I had the gift of subbing for dear colleague and studio owner, Emily) has helped me get centered on feeding my body — mostly — what it needs. 🙂 It feels so good. And it’s motivating…so, if I could somehow bottle up this feeling and put it in my cabinet to pull out the next time the slippery slope starts sloping, I’d be all set.
Yay for getting a blender! I opted for the Ninja Pro instead of the magical Vita-Mix for cost reasons, and I’ve been pleased with it. You can have so much fun with the smoothies, too. I usually include a vegan protein source like nutritional yeast or my Arbonne vanilla protein powder. The Maya superfood powder is terrific, as are cacao nibs, avocado, ground flax seed, cinnamon, sunbutter…oh, the places you can go!
Angela Liddon (ohsheglows.com) has a website dedicated to the green monster where fans list their favorite variations on the green smoothie, and Kris Carr (my entree to the clean living life) has that and more on her site crazysexylife.com.
Thanks for checking in, and I look forward to hearing how you go on the blender!
Lisa
Oh no! Gosh darn…mom’s good homecooking! And if you do ever get to bottle up that feeling, you may want to think of selling some. I bet you could make a huge profit! haha
Thanks so much for the suggestions! I have heard some wonderful things about the Ninja so I definitely think that will be the choice I make as well! I will also have to check out the website! Because I will have no idea what I am doing when I finally get my blender! haha You rock. =D
