Today is a big birthday for the most important person in my life.
And he is a private guy…prefers not to have his picture on my blog, no mention on Facebook.
So I’ve been in an internal state of war all day about wanting to respect that aspect of him, but knowing that he appreciates the side of me that wants to needs to share, emote, and shout it from the rooftop, or the electronic version in this case. My heart wins.
He’s insanely smart,
caring,
loyal,
strong and athletic,
a great sport,
polite,
thoughtful,
sensitive,
adventurous,
a fabulous dancer,
hysterically funny and fun,
a really, really good father,
and the best friend I’ll ever have.
Happy birthday, my love. And many, many more.
Please forgive me.

What a lovely post, Lisa~~it’s all so true. Happy Birthday, Daniel! XO.
Lisa, you summed up Daniel so nicely! I’m sure you left out a few more fabulous things about Daniel, and the only one I can add is that I know he can dance! Please tell him Happy Birthday for me! XO Stacie
You are so right, Stace…his first true dance partner! Had to add that in. Thank you and miss you. xo Lisa
Love the tribute and as you know a big fan. Happy birthday!
…as we are yours, too, JLR!
Awwwww! I assume Daniel is your husband? It’s amazing how you express about him!! Lovely 🙂
Yes
One of the all-time greats! Miss you guys!
Right back at you, Chris! Daniel loved hearing from you.
I very much look forward to meeting your husband. He sounds like he is a great life partner – everything you would want in a husband, friend, teammate, and confidant. Happy birthday, Daniel! May you continue to be showered with love by so many who care about you!
And he looks forward to meeting you! I’ve told him so much (good) about you, my friend. What wonderful things you wrote; we both appreciate you.
Love, Lisa
Lucky you! My sweetie, best bud, etc. is celebrating a big birthday in less than a month. He too is a very private person. I think it shows a nice degree of modesty and dignity – real manhood, in my opinion.
You’re absolutely right, Kim, and happy early birthday to your best bud!
Fondly,
Lisa
Thanks, Lisa!
