If you don’t become the ocean, you’ll be sea sick every day. —Leonard Cohen

I followed this advice all summer, with delight.
Lots of ferry rides and fresh air. Salt water and starry nights. Stained a deck and planted hydrangea. Invited ocean waves to lull me to sleep…in the middle of the day. Big family dinners and walks with the dogs. Extraordinary skies, sunrises, storms, and sunsets took my breath away.

Just right.

As summer winds down this last weekend of August, I’m over the moon to be part of a sweet yoga festival that my friends at Stratton Mountain Resort created: Yaksha Yoga & Wellness Weekend, August 26-28, 2016.

YAKSHA YOGA & WELLNESS WEEKEND August 26-28, 2016 Escape to the Green Mountains for Yaksha: a weekend for the senses with movement, nourishment and sound.

A weekend of yoga, wellness, community, farm-to-table meals, music & mountain adventure. Yaksha Weekend came to be “for the love of making people feel good.” Feel good, do good is my guiding mantra and being part of Yaksha was a no-brainer! I’m especially happy that Africa Yoga Project is my beneficiary.

Africa Yoga Project is a nonprofit organization whose work is dedicated to healing and empowering individuals, especially young people. Africa Yoga Project educates, empowers, elevates and expands employability with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga. Our vision is to create opportunities for youth to step into their greatness, become self-sustaining and leaders in their communities. Learn more at www.lifeyumafrica.com

Enjoy every type of practice. My dear teacher and friend Jennilee Toner and I are thrilled to announce that we’re joining forces for our workshop — Your Greatness: Feel it, Know it, Be it. We draw on our combined experiences and studies for a 90 minute journey into the greatness of your heart and soul. Think: fun, desire mapping, belly dancing, heart-opening yoga and inspired action!

The giveaway: Two tickets to the full weekend – amazing yoga, live music, farm to table meals and mountain adventure! Following our friends and co-collaborators Katie Collins and Justin Wolfer, we’re giving away two free tickets to Yaksha Weekend. Bonus: All ticket holders are automatically entered to win a GoPro.
